Though born as a healthy Xaela and adopted into the Borlaaq tribe at a young age, early on in life Khojiin discovered that, unlike most of her kin, she was unable to manipulate aether. This left her unable to do much in the way of magicks and so instead she resorted to learning to work with her hands, learning from an early age to work with physical objects to create new things.When she was old enough to travel alone she left the Steppe and ventured out into the wider world studying the various forms of crafting, ultimately choosing to become a machinist and engineer.Upon her arrival in Eorzea, fresh off the boat in Limsa Lominsa Khojiin was without so much as a gil to her name. Finding her way to the Maelstrom, she chose to join up and became very adept at arms and armor repairs for various officers, eventually climbing through the ranks herself. Though her work in the Maelstrom she was introduced to Cid Garlond. When Cid observed her skill as an engineer he offered her a position in the Ironworks, where she found a place to work and conduct her studies and experiments into self augmentation, endeavors she has been reasonably successful at.Her rather unique condition among Eorzeans lead her to her studies on the Allagan Empire and the study of magitek in general, seeing to find a way to augment her combat abilities through those means rather than relying on methods that required the ability to manipulate aether. Working with the Ironworks presented her a unique opportunity to study the floating continent of Azys Lla. Her studies lead her to separate from the Ironworks and eventually joint he Scions of the Seventh Dawn as their dedicated magitek engineer, finding them much more amenable to long absences as her studies took her throughout the realm.When the Scions traveled to Sharlayan in the midst of the final days, Khojiin accompanied them and was instrumental in constructing and piloting the starship Ragnarok. Following those events Khojiin petitioned the Sharlayan Forum to present her research on the Allagans and spent several weeks as a guest, and eventual member, of the Students of Baldesion preparing a full thesis on their technologies. Following her presentation and defense of her thesis, she was granted the title of 'Archon' and given the mark signifying her as such.She now functions as a freelance engineer and bodyguard. Steppe Born - Like many Xaela, Khojiin was born in the Azim Steppe and adopted into the Borlaaq tribe, if you had ever traveled there or had interactions with the Borlaaq tribe, it is possible you encountered a young Khojiin before she embarked on her journey into the wider world.Maelstrom Officer - Khojiin was a relatively well know officer in the Maelstrom for her first few years in Eorzea. If you frequented Limsa Lominsa, or were a member of the Maelstrom, it's entirely possible that you would have seen her around the city or in Maelstrom Command.Engineer - As an experienced engineer, Khojiin is often contracted to build many different objects. Her affinities lies in firearms and magiteknical devices. Its very possible you've used a weapons she's crafted or a piece of tek fabricated by her.Bodyguard - As a way to finance her other endeavours, Khojiin operates as a bodyguard for hire for adventurers in need.Allagan Scholar - Khojiin has conducted in depth studies into the Allagan Empire and its technology. If you have spent any time near an Allagan ruins its possible you may have seen Khojiin venturing into them in seach of more information and technology to assist her in her studies. Or you may have run across her in the one of the realm's many libraries nose deep in a book on the Allagans.Archon - Khojiin is an Archon, one of the few from outside Sharlayan, and the deep red marks on her neck signify this to others. Perhaps youve heard of her or read her thesis on Allagan technology.
